Limosine

Limosine is a skater-owned New York brand founded in 2021, run by Cyrus Bennett and Max Palmer with filmer Logan Lara sitting at the center of its identity (Aaron Loreth is also cited as a co-owner). It didn’t come out of a business plan so much as a crew that already skated together. Most of the team came off Alex Olson’s Call Me 917, and when that project wound down the core decided to keep rolling under their own name. What you get is an independent street brand rooted in the NYC scene, with a DIY look built around videos and graphics rather than marketing.

History

The launch was a slow burn. For months there was online chatter and speculation about what the ex-917 crew would do next, until a double-page ad in Skate Jawn magazine confirmed everything in December 2021. It dropped alongside the brand’s debut video and the first boards and apparel. That first video, filmed and edited by Logan Lara, got coverage from Quartersnacks, Thrasher and Free Skate Mag, and it set the tone: raw street footage, a home-grown edit feel, and a purely New York point of view. A follow-up video arrived the next spring, in 2022, and video has been the brand’s backbone ever since.

The team

The current roster listed on Limosine’s official site is Cyrus Bennett, Max Palmer, Aaron Loreth, Hugo Boserup, Karim Callender and Nelly Morville. Bennett does more than skate for the brand; its art direction is usually tied to his name. Callender and Morville were later additions to the original 917-derived core. The brand’s debut video also featured Genesis Evans and Santino Gagliarducci, neither of whom appears on the current team list.

Graphics and identity

Limosine’s visual signature is the cursive logo, the word “Limosine” in a hand-drawn script, spelled with a single “s” and no “u” instead of the standard English “Limousine”. That’s the brand, not a typo. The graphics and edits revolve around New York street-skating culture, and it’s that tight loop between board, video and city that holds the whole thing together. Beyond the wood, September 2025 brought a Nike SB x Limosine Dunk Low Pro, a sign the brand carries enough weight now for a major to come knocking.

Who it’s for

Limosine is a core brand: sold through specialty skate shops rather than mass retail, aimed at people who want a board with an actual point of view and a project genuinely run by skaters. If you want wood with a backstory and a real connection to the New York scene, it fits. If you just need something plainer, there’s plenty else in the decks lineup.
