Disorder

Disorder is Nyjah Huston’s brand, and it exists for one specific reason: in January 2021 he announced he was leaving Element after sixteen years, and by June he had a company of his own. You rarely see the move from being a corporate brand’s face to owning the brand laid out this plainly.

Why it exists

Huston joined Element in 2005, aged ten, straight off winning his first street contest. Sixteen years later he was the most decorated competitive skater of his generation and the name selling the most boards for them. Starting Disorder is the logical next step: when you are the one moving the product, the question is why someone else takes the margin.

The team

The team has been built slowly and without headline signings. Clive Dixon and Dominick Walker were among the first with their own parts in 2022 — Walker turned pro that October — and Kwesi Holloway and Alex Midler followed. The most surprising name is Mark Appleyard, a veteran with decades at Flip and Globe, who has a pro model here. It is a small, unshowy roster, which sits oddly against the contest image its founder carries.

The decks

The catalog is short and direct: 8.0” to 8.5” decks, graphics heavy on skulls and dark tones, and pro models for the house riders. There is no patented technology and no construction pitch: it is standard pro-deck wood with a strong visual identity.

Video

In July 2025 it released “Distress”, its first full-length, after a May premiere. That is the piece marking the shift from personal project to a brand with its own team and productions.

Who it is for
